I’m Corey Haines, indie hacker born and raised in San Diego, California. In my freshman year of college, a friend and I were on a 6 hour road-trip to go see some friends in another state. There's nothing like a road trip to get some serious conversation going. "So man, what's your long term goal? Like what do you want to be?" he asked me. "Well, my plans kinda to just get into accounting and do the 9 to 5 until I can retire. Live a good life and good family. Accounting is what I think I can be good at" I told him. "...that's it?" he said. I'll never forget those words, because while they stung in the moment, they changed my outlook on life forever. He went on to talk about all the grand plans he had and how he wanted to be an entrepreneur one day. That sparked something in me. I read the 4 Hour Workweek, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Lean Startup, and started listening to the EntreLeadership Podcast. And then more books, more podcasts, and more audiobooks. Long story short, I'm finally putting my money where my mouth is. I'm starting side projects, businesses, and creating content. SaaS, podcasts, online courses, you name it. I'm on a journey to become a full-time indie hacker.
